On the 6th of September, the first iC2MC meeting took place at Nantes during the Analytics 2022 conference. This afternoon was attended by 26 participants coming from the University of Florida, Rouen, Pau, and from TotalEnergies.  It was the occasion to discuss problematics studied inside the laboratory. 15 short communications of 5 min were given in 3 sessions, followed by open discussions to generate new ideas and improvements axis. It was the occasion to follow new works from all laboratories and to better know each others. The main subjects discussed were pyrolysis bio-oils, lithium-ion batteries, data treatment, and programming solutions.

The COBRA laboratory received the visit of Hervé Morin, the president of the Normandy region. His visit was devoted to discussions on the project to purchase a new FTICR mass spectrometer equipped with an 18Tesla superconducting magnet. This instrument will be the largest ever installed in Europe and will provide answers to current analytical challenges.
